SmartDrive is an Internet portal service, specialized in collection, analysis, interpretation and publishing of vehicle behavior information.

This SmartDrive portal service allows you to collect information about your personal driving behavior. Your driving behavior information has been collected with your explicit agreement, has been compiled in a secure and private environment and is now available to you via your personal , private login and password. So, the SmartDrive Behavior Portal is analysing driving behavior in an anonymous way.

SmartDrive does not know the identity of the driver neither the vehicle generating the records where a driving behavior is compiled from.  SmartDrive only recieves records with a unique encrypted identification, without being able to associate a person or a vehicle to it.

It will be only the subscriber to the SmartDrive service that can make the link between a particular drving behavior information and him/her-self via his secure, private and unique user-identification and personal password.

The data, you see in your reports, aren't definite yet. They are, at this stage, just an impression of your driving behavior. During this evaluation period, recording will be fine tuned in correspondance with the data collected by all participating SmartDrive.

It will only be after a period of some months that you will have a final impression, correctly translated into a green, orange or red traffic light.

 
The importance of good drivership:  
Every year has its number of road casualties. Although the quantity of death casualties drastically decreased these last years, every one of them is already one too many. Roads and vehicles improvements are not enough: the driver’s attitude is always an issue.
One’s perception of driving is mostly a good one, blaming the “others” of aggressive driving. Self esteem is an issue here.
By finding out in reality one’s driving attitude, people will realize the way they’re driving every other day. Doing this, they’ll be able to make a well-thought decision to take their car or take another better alternative.
It has been proven that this issue has a huge effect on road security: fewer crashes, less oil consumption as well as less CO2 discharges, less maintenance costs, higher residual value, less damage costs, and last but not least an insurance premium linked to the good driving attitude’s profit.
